We remove a pet’s name from our adoption application once we’ve received a sufficient number of applications for that animal. This means that while a dog or cat may still appear as “available” on third-party sites like Adopt-a-Pet, you may no longer be able to select them on our application form.
We do not manually update Adopt-a-Pet. These listings are automatically generated by our internal software (Petstablished, now known as Wagtopia), and may not reflect real-time availability.
A pet being removed from our application does not mean they have been adopted. It simply means we are actively processing applications for that pet.
If you’re open to adopting any dog, puppy, cat, or kitten that may be a good fit for your home, your wait time may be significantly reduced.
Please understand that our all-volunteer team is doing its best. Due to volume, we are unable to update every platform immediately, and we recognize that this may cause confusion or frustration. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
