Rise and Shine K9 is a dog training company located on Martha's Vineyard. Rise and Shine K9 is based out of Edgartown but can travel anywhere on the island for appointments. Mike Morris, company owner assists SPR with training, as well as fostering some of our needier pups. Rick Alto is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer; graduate of the prestigious National K9 School for Dog Trainers in Columbus, Ohio; Professional Member of the International Association of Canine Professionals (IACP), where he serves on the Board of Directors and oversees the Service Dog and Legislative Committees. Rick Alto has committed countless volunteer hours to SPR. We are grateful for the work Rick commits with aiding our volunteers and fosters with successful placements and training and donating board & train time to our dogs in need. As an SPR adopter alum, we are honored to have Rick as a part of the SPR family.

Woods Hole Inn and Treehouse Lodge are both pet-friendly accommodations located in Woods Hole. The Woods Hole Inn and Treehouse Lodge support Sandy Paws Rescue with monthly donations.
Missing Dogs Massachusetts (MDM) is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization that works to reunite missing and found dogs with their families. MDM works cooperatively with animal control officers, rescues, shelters, law enforcement, and the media.
Through grant funding graciously awarded by MDM to SPR, we are able to purchase and provide each of our adopted and fostered dogs with an anti-slip martingale collar for safety.

Barnstable Farm & Pet is a full service feed and supply store for your animals. BFP generously donates and collects supplies for our rescue organization, as well as acting as a host for events. We are grateful to have their local support!

Jen, our volunteer coordinator, generously donates her time and talent to photographing our adoptable dogs, helping them shine and find loving homes. She also offers her photography services to other rescues and shelters in need. When she’s not behind the camera for rescue work, she’s growing her photography business, specializing in wildlife and pet photography—often with her own dogs by her side.
